Healthcare doesn't need more buzzwords. It needs experienced leaders willing to ask difficult questions, challenge the status quo, and bring people together to create meaningful change.
After nearly four decades leading hospitals and health systems as a CEO and COO, I founded Stevenson Transformative Healthcare to help organizations navigate today's most pressing challenges—from operational performance and physician engagement to artificial intelligence, innovation, culture, and long-term strategy.
Today I advise healthcare organizations and innovative companies that are shaping the future of medicine, host the I Don't Care with Dr. Kevin Stevenson podcast, speak nationally on the issues impacting healthcare, and connect leaders who share a common goal: delivering better care for patients while creating stronger organizations for the people who serve them.
Healthcare is more than my profession. It's my calling.
Let's build the future of healthcare together.

I've had the privilege of serving as a hospital CEO and COO as well as other C-suite roles, leading organizations through growth, operational improvement, physician engagement, strategic planning, and cultural transformation. Those experiences taught me that lasting success isn't built solely on financial performance or technology—it's built by investing in people.
Today, as President of Stevenson Transformative Healthcare, I work with hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and healthcare innovators to improve performance, navigate change, and bring practical solutions to some of healthcare's biggest challenges. Whether advising executive teams, mentoring emerging leaders, connecting organizations with innovative partners, or speaking at conferences, my goal is always the same: help organizations deliver better care while creating healthier communities.
I also host the I Don't Care with Dr. Kevin Stevenson podcast, where I bring together healthcare leaders from across the country to discuss the issues shaping our industry—from physician engagement and operational excellence to artificial intelligence, leadership, policy, and the future of healthcare.
One of my core beliefs is that we've become exceptionally good at delivering "sick care." The next chapter of healthcare must focus on prevention, wellness, collaboration, and building healthier communities. That philosophy guides my consulting, speaking, writing, and podcast conversations.
Beyond my professional work, I believe strongly in giving back. Throughout my career I've served on nonprofit and community boards, mentored healthcare leaders and entrepreneurs, supported healthcare education, and remained active in civic leadership. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that strong communities and strong healthcare organizations go hand in hand.
I've been married to my wife for 39 years, and together we've been blessed with two children and two grandchildren who keep us grounded and remind us what truly matters. My Christian faith is the foundation of my life, and outside of work you'll often find me cheering on Baylor Athletics, traveling to new places, or exploring communities and healthcare systems with the same curiosity that has shaped my career.
Whether you're looking for an advisor, a speaker, a podcast guest or host, or simply someone who enjoys thoughtful conversations about where healthcare is headed, I'd be honored to connect.

Throughout my career, I've believed that leadership carries a responsibility to serve our communities, mentor future leaders, and strengthen the organizations that improve people's lives. These experiences have shaped my perspective as much as my executive roles.
